Match timeline:
- Bumiputera led the first quarter
- Beaver snatched the lead end second quarter
- Bumiputera expected super subs was somehow not performing
- Beaver player #9 was on fire and simply unstoppable
- But the game was still head-to-head game until the final quarter
- 2 Bumiputera players got cramped muscles.
- Bumiputera failed to catch up
- Final score - Bumiputera 65, Beaver Engineering 75
Match analysis:
- Top three Bumiputera scorer - Mudd@17pts, Zul AHR@12pts, Muiz@9pts
- Fitness wise, Bumiputera need to improve
- Beaver Engineering relied solely on one player. Superio alone scored 31pts
- Bumiputera could have tried Box-1 strategy to slow Superio (#9) down
- Evidently, Bumiputera failed to capitalize on around 15 free-throws, which could have turned the game the other way round.
Well, next game should be more interesting. It will be against Menglait All Stars on 08 Nov 2009 at Batu Bersurat. But Bumiputera needs to keep our defense up despite the opponents team are the underdogs.

AHR Family Sungkai
Simply, we ordered a day earlier so that the cook could prepare our dishes in time for sungkai. Know what happened? The waitress was assigned to KB the next day & didn't pass our order to anyone. So, we ended up ordering again and only ate like 15mins later. Makan-makan then kaching, we left just around 7pm as Dad was trying to catch up with Tarawikh prayers.

Sungkai with AODs
In brief, we stayed til late (11pm). What's interesting was the wastage policy. Every 100g of wasted food, the restaurant will charge B$3.00. So, there we were joking that I would have to swallow the chicken bones & clam shell. Haha. Interestingly as well, despite charging for wasted food, most customers didn't know they can actually 'tapau'. One of the jokes I find quite funny was when we were talking about animal rights. It went like:
Sofian: It seems to me that animals in Ozzie know they have rights.
The rest of us: How come you say that?
Sofian: Cause everytime they cross the road, they'll take their sweet time and stare at your car. Its bothers me so much that I feel like them saying to me, "Come on!! Hit me.. I know my rights."
Finally, after 11pm, everyone went back home except me. I continued to meet some baller friends at Batu Besurat then TK and only reached home around half past one in the morning.. Too bad I have to go to work the next day.

HBO Sungkai
The rendezvous was the Jame' Asr Mosque in Kiarong followed by sungkai at Aneka Rasa Restaurant in Kiulap. A total of 20-25 guys attended the tahlil recital for our dear friend who passed away back during our college year. The sungkai was attended by 19 pax of three oval tables. Below is the summary of what happened in pictures.
Oh ya! As usual, we would try recall all the ex-HBOs yang nda datang. Nama yang paling famous hari tu, cYahya la. Haha. Initially, I thought the person did not existed. Towards the end of the gathering, baru tah ku ingat, cZai rupanya. Haha. Aparently, ramai orang payah-payah ingati his face that we never stop saying his name. Yatah tahun dapan, mesti di invite ne ia ne. Haha. During the sungkai, it went really crazy that the guys in my table group laughed out of brains as if there's no one else in the restaurant. Naik wa rasa makan ke otak. Surely, we were the loudest group.
So, HBO's, until next year.. Insya Allah..

BBA Sungkai 1430H
Eventually, the sungkai dinner finished around 8.30pm when Janet & Asyraf had to go. Oh ya! Ada orang atu, salah tampat wah. Instead of coming to the Qlap branch, ia ke Gadong tia pulang. Haha. Kesian... Lapas badok plg sampai. Hmm..Sapa tu ah?
Anyways, update on Erny's departure, so far, I understand she will be be at the airport 4.30pm on Thu, 10 Sep 2009. So, be there guys. However, I just realised I wont be able to bid farewell due to another sungkai outing. Sorry Erny.. I wish the best of luck.
Finally, an idea popped up from the dinner. The six of us planned to have the BBA gathering more often. The latest agreement was to have it once every two months. I agreed to be the focal person. So, to the BBAs, drop me some ideas in the chatbox and let me know the type of outings that you guys wish to have. It can be barbeque, movies, etc. I'll try to work things out from time to time.
But the other dishes were OK.

Pasir Putih Story..
Apart from its ’snow’ness, Pasir Putih is also known as a haunted, lonely road. Not sure how true this is as there have been many stories on ghosts roaming the road. I am yet to encounter one. Not looking forward to it actually. Malam apa ni ah?
Have a read at this story which came to my Inbox today. I voted this story to be the best 2009 email for making me read with suspense.
This happened about a month or two ago near Pasir Putih, and even though it sounds like something out of the X-Files or from Alfred Hitchcock Presents… it’s real! This guy drived from Muara to Kuala Belait and decided to drive after midnight as traffic is usually less.
The inevitable happened when he reached the Pasir Putih area, his car broke down – he was stranded miles from nowhere. Having no choice he started to walk on the side of the road, hoping to get a lift to the nearest human habitation.
It was dark and raining and pretty soon he was wet and shivering. The night rolled on and no car pass by, the monsoon rains were so strong that he hardly saw a few feet ahead of him.
Suddenly he saw a car coming towards him. It slowed down and then stopped next to him. Without thinking the guy opened the car’s door and jumped in.
Seated in the back, he leaned forward to thank the person who had saved him when he realized there was nobody behind the wheel! Even though there was no one in the front seat and no sound of any engine, the car started to move slowly.
The guy looked at the road ahead and saw a curve coming (remember, this is in the hills and there is a steep drop beyond the curve).
Scared almost to death he started to pray, begging the Lord for his life. He had not come out of shock, when just before the car hit the curve, a hand appeared through the window and moved the wheel so the car made the curve safely and continued on the road to the next bend.
The guy, now paralyzed in terror, watched how the hand appeared every time just before a curve and moved the steering wheel just enough to get the car around each bend.
Finally, the guy saw lights ahead. Gathering his courage he wrenched open the door of the silent, slowly moving car, scrambled out and ran as hard as he could towards the lights.
It’s Telisai..
Wet and still in shock, the guy headed to a roadside nightstall, which was open, and asked for water. He started to tell at whoever was in the stall about the horrible experience he had just gone through.
A silence enveloped everybody at the stall when they realize the guy was not crazy, and was really frightened – he cried and shoke. So they gave him more water and talked about what they should do, whether to call the police or find a bomoh (witch doctor), send him to the hospital or what.
But then another two guys walked into the stall. One of them said to the other; “Look Daud! That’s the jerk who got in to our car when we were pushing it!”
Kurang asam.
Buleh cereta nya ah? Mental wa ku tarus abis membaca.. Haha..
